Use a listed light-vehicle park such as near the railway station or a signed KMC lot, then walk the last stretch; do not chase a curb space inside the taped zone.

If rain is on, pick a park with a covered walk to a main road rather than a muddy verge, and photograph the bay number.

Hotel staff pointed us at the station-side park and said to ignore anyone waving you into a side lane; the walk in rain is still shorter than circling for a curb.
