Landed, phone on roaming crumbs. BIA Dialog looked shut. Lobby man has SIMs in a plastic box. 1 Sep Tuesday, 01:28. We need maps for a 6am van, not a souvenir number.

Wait for a real counter in the morning. Pettah or a branded shop, passport, ordinary package. Lobby plastic is how numbers vanish. Hotel wifi plus a downloaded map gets you to 8. I will not invent a 1 Sep airport-SIM levy. Tuesday shops open.

We used wifi, bought a SIM at 9 in Colombo. Fine. The lobby box was 4000 for air.
