Yes, Sri Lankan immigration strictly enforces the rule that all foreign passports, including UK passports, must be valid for at least six months from your date of arrival in the country.

If your passport expires in four months, your ETA application might be rejected, or worse, your airline will completely deny you boarding at London Heathrow. You absolutely must renew your passport before your trip.
