Had it in the zip, bent to pick up the water bottle, zip was open, passport is on the ground somewhere in the last five metres of ankles. We are at the Queen's Hotel corner. Do we push back against this crowd or freeze and wait until people leave. British. Not in the bag.

Freeze the group, phones on torch, eyes down, with the flow not against the elephants. Tell the nearest officer immediately - missing-person / lost-property is why they built reunion pins into kandyesalaperahera.police.lk this year. Season hotline 081 22 33 333. Do not all four of you dive into ankles.

A woman next to us dropped a wallet Wednesday. An officer held it at the tape. Start with uniforms, not with Reddit.

Photograph the police report tonight if you can get one. Replacement is a Monday-weekday job at the British High Commission - that is a tomorrow problem. Tonight is find-or-record.

Torch down, staying with the flow, nearest uniform. Not diving.
