If afternoon showers continue, is a dry pouch for the phone worth buying this morning before a short outing. Not pack light shell for 7:00 PM start, and not umbrella city walk versus wait indoors drizzle.

A cheap dry pouch or zip bag is worth it if you carry one phone for maps. Showers here can arrive fast. You can still skip a heavy rain jacket if you prefer a light cover.
