White trainers are dusty from the curb. Quick wipe before an afternoon temple stop, or buy slippers. Not temple dress code hotel sarong dusty, and not temple early morning still open as usual.

A damp cloth wipe plus clean socks is usually enough for a respectful look. Carry a light cover-up either way. Slippers help if the trainers still smell from last night.
