Kids already flinched at midday thunder. If drums and another rumble overlap at 6:53 PM, do we bring ear cups.

Bring the ear cups; a rumble over drums is a lot for small ears and a pocket pair costs nothing if the sky stays quiet.

We put ours on before the first loud stretch last night and the kids lasted; waiting until they cry in the crush is too late.
