A calm early exit toward KCC or a side mall is often still realistic an hour in via outer connectors, but returning to the same curb afterward is the hard part. Treat return as unlikely and enjoy the cool reset if you leave.
Scout the toilet before you abandon the kerb if that is the only need — a lobby nearer than KCC may be enough.
With a melting toddler, the mall reset is worth more than a heroic return.
