Light sleeper. After festival nights, are hotel streets near the action still loud past midnight, and are foam earplugs plus a fan enough or do we need a quieter lane hotel.

Streets near procession routes stay lively later than guidebooks admit. Foam earplugs plus a fan help; a room on an inner courtyard helps more.

If you already booked a frontage room, ask politely for a quieter side if one frees up. Moving beats arguing with drums.

South-coast bases are usually kinder for sleep recovery once you leave the hill-town festival grid.
