Ears ringing from drums after the deep mid stretch. Step fully off the ring for ten quiet minutes, or push through until the cortege passes our curb. Not kids covering ears, and not drums feeling quieter from ear fatigue alone.

If ringing is sharp, step fully off for a few quiet minutes — ear fatigue plus deep-mid volume is real. Pushing through until everything goes muffly is how people regret the next day. Soft plugs from a daypack help if you return.

A quieter side street ten metres back often resets ears without abandoning the night.

Kids with ringing ears should leave sooner than adults arguing toughness.
