Holding a whale-watching slot on the south-east stretch. Rough-seas talk runs Matara-Hambantota-Pottuvil into mid-morning Sunday. Should we change the hold to a later day, or wait and see at dawn.

Change the hold if the operator will move you. Mid-morning cutoff on an amber day is a poor gamble for a long boat.

Dawn check with the skipper is fine only if cancellation is free. Otherwise lock a calmer date now.

Rough seas plus disappointed kids is a bad combo. Land day on the coast still counts as holiday.
