I loved the String Hoppers we had for breakfast. Can you order them at restaurants for dinner, or is it strictly a morning food?

In Sri Lanka, String Hoppers (Idiyappam) and regular Hoppers (Appa) are traditionally eaten for breakfast AND dinner! You will easily find them at local eateries after 6:00 PM. They are almost never eaten for lunch.

Pair them with a spicy chicken or fish curry and a lot of coconut sambol. It is the perfect light evening meal.
