Yes strictly right hand for eating in traditional settings. Left hand is culturally considered unclean (used for personal hygiene). Even left-handed foreigners are expected to eat right-handed at family meals. In restaurants using cutlery, it's a non-issue.

Practical: for rice and curry, use only right hand fingers (thumb + first two fingers). Mix small portions of rice with curry, form a small ball, place in mouth. Sri Lankans do NOT lick fingers between bites — small water bowl or napkin for finger cleaning. Watching a local eat is the best tutorial.
