Notes are thin. Bank-door machine at Kalkudah already has a line. Card still works at the guesthouse but we need cash for tuks and fruit. Not trying to invent a shutdown. Monday 31 Aug. Last-bit after dark, pin the main road. Cannot tell if this is ordinary or a tired mistake. Locals, please contradict the group chat.

Walk to the next machine first. The bank-door one is inside a timetable. Kalkudah ATMs run out on a leftover-rain weekday when everyone thinks the same. If both fail, the town side, not a cousin with a POS. Screenshot a failed swipe. I will not invent a Kalkudah-wide cash shutdown. It is queues.

We took the quieter fork at Kalkudah. Fine. No one clapped.

Walked off the cones, then a tuk. PickMe from the kerb was a joke. Lived aside: association put Rs. 10 on the 450g from midnight; the village shop can still be slow to sticker. No 130/140 from me.

We waited until eleven, walked the inside lane. Fine. Flip-flops were a mistake at eight.
