Sri Lankan faluda (spelled 'faluda' locally) is similar to Indian falooda but with local twists — rose syrup + basil seeds (kasa-kasa) + jelly + vermicelli + ice cream + milk, sometimes with ripe mango or fruit chunks. Layered pink drink-dessert, extremely popular Muslim/Malay tradition.

Best places: Muslim/Malay quarter restaurants in Colombo (Saraz, Buhari, Palmyra), Kandy Muslim quarter, and specialty faluda shops (Aakriti in Colombo does modern versions). Cost 350-800 LKR per glass. Great sweet finish after spicy Muslim biryani.
