Hotel says they can still plate a late lunch. Town shops are already putting out the first rice-and-curry. Stay in for the hotel plate, or walk out for the first proper one.

Walk out if the shop is already plating. The first rice-and-curry of the day is the better plate. A late hotel lunch is often yesterday's vegetables warmed through.

We walked out. Small shop, fresh pot. The hotel plate we saw later looked tired. Worth the five minutes.

If anyone is wiped, take the hotel plate and stop arguing. Food now beats a better plate in twenty minutes with a cranky elder.
