Fitness band is dead this late and we have been ignoring the phone clock on purpose. Navigate back by lit shop signs instead of worrying about the time. Not rejoining a split group after dark landmarks, and not counting elephants as a proxy.

Yes — pick two lit shop signs and the lake edge you already walked. Time matters less than a calm outer route. Text the hotel name to the group so everyone shares the same beacon.

Dead band is another reason to start the exit before the densest late wave.

Save phone battery for one map glance only if you truly lose the lake edge.
