Flight out of CMB late tonight. We are still in Kandy for Perahera. How much buffer do people actually use to reach the airport after a festival night.

Festival traffic plus night roads - I would leave the moment your junction opens and still keep a fat buffer. Do not cut it fine.

Pre-book a car with a driver who knows the alt exits. App cars from the lake edge are unreliable tonight.

Have the airline app and a backup Colombo hotel plan if a jam eats the night - better than sprinting security.
