Walk toward the station machine first. Bank-door machines follow a timetable and run out when everyone lands on a leftover-rain Sunday. If both fail, a second bank on York Street in the morning, not a cousin with a POS. Do not invent a Colombo-wide cash shutdown. It is queues.

If you need a lump, do it near the station, not only inside a dead market lane.
