23 Aug, Fort room, leftover rain on the cobbles. Partner wants the lighthouse stretch before breakfast. Ordinary bags, one pair of sandals. Not trying to invent a closure.

Wait. Rampart stones stay slick until late morning after a proper night rain. Sandals on that stretch is how you meet the clinic in town. Walk Church Street in the shade, do the wall when it is dull and dry. Nobody is closing the Fort. It is just wet.
