Craving fruit. Safe enough to buy fresh pineapple from a lake-side stall mid-morning, or stick to sealed snacks. Not bananas-for-tonight-curb supermarket run, and not kids ice-cream after breakfast.

Busy stalls that cut fruit to order with clean knives are usually fine for peeled pineapple. Eat soon; skip fruit sitting uncovered in the sun. Carry tissues.

If unsure, buy whole fruit and peel yourself at the hotel.
