We can hear drums already from the room and we are still packing water. Diya Kapeema is listed 1:28 AM on Friday 28 Aug after Final Randoli. If we sleep, do we miss the 'real' ending.

Street is free. Temple Street shade is a real pin if you sit it from late afternoon. Queen's Hotel balcony is a paid hotel package, not a municipal ticket. I would not pay it for a Kumbal; I would consider it for Final if an elder is with you. Diya is a water-cutting ritual at 1:28 AM, not a second Grand Randoli. If you need sleep, skip it and do Dahawal at 2:18 PM. Do not invent a tourist ticket for it. Shoes you can stand in, not the pretty pair.

We paid a Queen's-side chair for a Randoli and stood Temple Street shade for a Kumbal. With kids the chair won. Without kids I would stand again and keep the money for a room with AC. Then tea, then the room.

If you already have a driver waiting outside the grid, keep that pin. Do not try to PickMe from Temple Street shade at the end of Diya Kapeema. Walk to a bigger road first. Kids change the trade.
