A friend on the street texts “tusker now” while our live feed still shows whip-crackers. How many minutes of lag should we assume. Not hotel-window drums versus stream delay as the whole question — this is a street text versus player mismatch.

Assume roughly one to three minutes of lag on busy nights, sometimes a bit more if the feed buffers. Treat the street text as ahead of your player, not as proof you are on the wrong live.

If whip-crackers are still on screen after a tusker text, wait — do not scrub wildly or you will overshoot.

Same lag idea when you only see flag-bearers on the curb but the feed already shows later segments.
