Saturday 22 Aug, Ahangama. Galle Fort cobbles, stick, lighthouse stretch after rain. If Koggala is kinder, say so. Write the board, not a blog.

Pay shade and a shorter walk. Pride stands three hours and then owns a clinic. A ledge is a hotel product, not a municipal ticket. I will not invent an official seating fee.

Inner path, closed shoes. Spray edge is how you meet the clinic.

If you sit a table, order. Occupying shade with a bottle you brought is the rude version. Fine.

Harbour board, no promise. We sat the bay instead. Fine.

We took the quieter fork. No one clapped. No gazette.

Muffs on the four-year-old. Ninety minutes. Then tea.

We walked. Fine. The first number at Ahangama was a test. Then tea.
