Fort room, leftover rain on laterite. Partner wants the lighthouse stretch before breakfast. I do not want a sprain. Ordinary bags, one pair of sandals. 31 Aug.

Wait. Rampart stones stay slick until late morning after a night rain. Sandals on that stretch is how you meet the clinic in town. Walk Church Street in the shade, do the wall when it is dull. Nobody is closing the Fort. It is just wet.
We waited until eleven, walked the inside lane. Fine. Flip-flops were a mistake at eight.
Kids: skip the wall until it dries. Pride hurries a sunrise photo and hops home on one foot.
Lighthouse side gets the wind. Closed shoes and the inner path if you must.
