Galle Fort hotels — any noise issues this week from events or festivals?
Staying in the Fort and need quiet for sleep. Any places having events or loud nights right now?

It's been relatively quiet this week in the Fort — no major festivals or events causing widespread noise. Some individual hotels or restaurants might have private events, but nothing big affecting the whole area. If you're sensitive to noise, asking for a room away from the street or any courtyard areas with music can help. Most places are pretty calm mid-week. Weekends can be slightly livelier but still generally manageable in the Fort compared to some other tourist areas.
Pretty quiet this week. No big events. If you're noise-sensitive, ask for a room away from any street or courtyard activity when booking.

Someone befriends you and offers a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to buy gems at wholesale prices and resell them abroad for huge profit. They may show you fake export certificates. The gems are worthless glass or low-quality stones.
Restaurants without visible prices. Bill arrives with inflated charges (500 LKR coconut becomes 1500 LKR). "Service charges" added without disclosure.
