Galle Fort room booked from tonight — slick cobbles after leftover rain, sandals at dawn or closed shoes

We take a 6am train toward Galle. Fort guesthouse. Last week's rain leftover still in the photos. Partner lives in sandals. I live in not-a-sprain. 1 Sep Tuesday, packing.

Closed shoes for the rampart if the stones are dark. Sandals for the courtyard later. Leftover rain on laterite is a clinic, not a look. Nobody closed the Fort. Walk the inner lanes until the wall is dull and dry. I will not invent a Fort fee for 'wet season'.

We waited until late morning for the wall, walked Church Street first. Fine.

Train to Galle, tuk from the station, agree 110/90 or a small number, not a Fort tour.
