27 Aug, Galle lighthouse, on a drier east morning. Driver wants a tour number. Daypacks, not suitcases. Need a local, not a brochure.

Pay a short hop if it is a mud chute and you have a kid. Walk if grip and the rain has stopped. Do not pay a tour number for a ten-minute hill. Agree before you sit. Shoulders and knees.

We skipped the boat. Harbour was a pitch, not a promise. Galle lighthouse was the pin.

Pride argues with a pole and then buys a plaster. On 'Jungle Beach path slick from showers — walk or pay the s' — board, not desk.
