Godhamba (also Kotthu Godhamba, Tamil origin — Godhamba means wheat in Tamil) is paper-thin unleavened bread made by dropping thin dough on a hot flat pan. Watched being made is theater. Eat torn hot with dhal curry or fish curry, or as base for kottu roti.

Best places: any small roadside 'thosai kade' at breakfast or dinner (look for the pan setup at the front — visible to street). Also served in restaurants but street version freshest. Cost 60-100 LKR each. Order 3-4 per person.
