I might need a prescription refill or check-up. Any recommended private clinics?

Private hospitals and clinics in Colombo (Nawaloka, Asiri, Lanka Hospitals), Galle, Kandy, and other main towns have good standards and English-speaking doctors. Many cater to both locals and expatriates/tourists. For routine needs, they can usually see you quickly. Pharmacies attached to or near clinics can fill prescriptions. It's worth having travel insurance details and any relevant medical history with you. For anything beyond very minor issues, private facilities are generally faster and more comfortable than government hospitals, though both have competent doctors.

Many hotels and guesthouses have relationships with local clinics and can arrange appointments or visits quickly.
