Closed trainers with a real tread; painted wet curb is slicker than temple stone and smooth soles slide.

I switched to ugly trainers with a real tread and stopped sliding; the nicer pair with a smooth sole is staying in the room.

If both pairs are worn smooth, a thin rubber over-sole from a shoe stall near the lake is cheaper than a fall with kids.
