Ask the night before for bananas and tea. Included plates that start at 8 are not breakfast for a 5 a.m. jeep. Do not fight the kitchen at 4:50. I will not invent a packed-lunch menu.

Most kitchens will leave fruit if you ask kindly at dinner. Most will not cook a feast in the dark. Ask.
