Had the ETA printout in the passport sleeve, they still asked a hotel name - ordinary or a missed form
UK passports. ETA approved on the site. Printed it. Officer asked where we sleep tonight. We said the Booking.com Negombo name. No extra window. Just need to know if that is normal.

Ordinary. They asked our hotel name even with ETA printed. We said the Booking.com name. That was it. Don't invent a fee or a second form at the desk. Have a name, even a pin.
Phone screenshot of the ETA plus a hotel name. We didn't print. They still asked the name. Fine.
Same. Hotel name, stamp, walk. The man after the desk who wanted a 'speed' is not immigration. Walk on.
If you have no name yet, say Negombo and pick a real pin before you land. Don't argue law at 2am.
