Sri Lankan hammocks are less common than Latin American ones, but exists. Look for: coir (coconut fiber) hammocks, handloom cotton hammocks, and traditional macramé pieces. Sources: Ambalangoda area craft shops, Barefoot, and Galle Fort craft stores.

Cost: 3000-8000 LKR for basic, 8000-15000 LKR for large family hammocks with hardware. Not as durable as commercial hammocks — treat gently outdoor. Coir hammocks are traditional but rough on bare skin — cotton better for daily use.
