Heavy pollen in a flowering hill town — allergy meds from a pharmacy or just leave early?
Nuwara Eliya streets are full of blossom and my hay fever is wrecking sleep — eyes streaming, sneezing nonstop. Do travelers grab a pharmacy antihistamine and tough a few days, or change the itinerary down to a lower town? Not inventing clinic fees — what usually works on the ground.

Ask the pharmacy for a non-drowsy antihistamine suited to pollen — bring your usual brand name if you remember it so they can match an equivalent. Rinse face and change clothes after dusty garden walks, keep windows less open at peak blossom hours, and rest indoors when eyes are raw. I will not invent a tablet price as gospel. If breathing feels tight, swelling worsens, or you feel faint, that is clinic or hospital territory, not a DIY blossom problem. Mild seasonal flare often settles with meds and shorter outdoor stretches.
