The absolute best hidden rooftop bar in Galle Fort is at the Amangalla hotel. While the hotel is famous, the rooftop terrace is often overlooked by tourists. It offers an incredibly peaceful, panoramic view of the sunset over the red tiled roofs and the ocean.

Another fantastic, slightly more casual spot is the rooftop at the Fort Bazaar hotel. You can grab excellent cocktails and watch the sky change color completely away from the crowded fort walls.
