We hired a van for World's End. Another Mirror piece says dedicated parking near the entrance gates and electric shuttle vehicles inside the park, from the same 29 Aug tour. Will we be forced to leave the van at the gate tomorrow and wait for an EV shuttle that might not be running yet?

Proposed, not operating tomorrow. Mirror says an electric shuttle was proposed to cut emissions, carbon footprint and noise, with dedicated parking near the entrance gates and visitors transported inside on EV shuttles. Same 29 Aug Jayakody field tour. No fare, no fleet size, no start date. Your hired van still follows today's park vehicle rules unless a later notice says private vehicles stop at the gate. Do not invent a shuttle queue to stand in.

I asked our driver in Pattipola. He had not heard of a live shuttle roster. Treat gate parking plus EV as a future layout.

Keep the van booking. If the shuttle ever launches, the park will say so with a date — Mirror did not.
