horton plains walk-up tomorrow — daily visitor limit already enforced or still a plan?

We are in Nuwara Eliya and planned a simple walk-up at the Horton Plains gate tomorrow. Daily Mirror says authorities are planning daily visitor limits after a 29 Aug field meeting. Is that already enforced at the gate, or only a plan so far? Nobody published a cap number that I can see.

Treat it as planning, not tonight's gate rule. Daily Mirror (31 Aug evening) says authorities are planning to introduce daily visitor limits and an online advance booking system at Horton Plains National Park to ease pressure on the UNESCO site. That came out of a 29 Aug field meeting chaired by Deputy Minister Anton Jayakody with the Environment Secretary, DWC, Forest Conservation and the park warden. No daily cap number was published. Walk-up tomorrow still follows whatever the gate is doing today unless a later official notice says otherwise — do not invent a headcount limit.

I read the same Mirror line. Planning and proposed, not a posted daily number on the board. I am still going early and asking the counter, not assuming a secret quota.

If a hard daily limit were live, they would usually publish the number. Mirror did not. Keep the pin; treat the cap as coming later.
