Skip the unofficial rope. A chat pin and a story photo are not a safety brief. After rain, wet rock plus a frayed rope is how ankles and shoulders get expensive, and a rescue off a side creek is slow. Choose a named falls with a walked path, or hire a guide who will actually turn you around.
