Hotel is on the far side of the occupied grid. Kids are done. Piggyback them through a shorter cut, or take the long loop around the still-moving line.

Long loop, piggyback on the outer pavement if you must. A short cut through the occupied line with a child on your shoulders is a shove.

If they refuse the long walk, one adult goes ahead to the hotel and the other stays on the outer ring with them. Do not split through the line.
