Ethical boats strictly follow distance guidelines cutting their engines roughly fifty meters away from the main pod. However Spinner dolphins are incredibly curious highly playful creatures. When a boat cuts its engine and sits silently the massive pods will frequently willingly swim directly towards the vessel. They will often ride the small bow wake and leap spinning into the air just a few feet away from you. You absolutely do not need an aggressive captain chasing them to get spectacularly close up breathtaking photographs.
