Need the observation car on the hill train this week. How early should we book, and if it is already sold out are reserved window seats in ordinary coaches a sane Plan B.

Book as soon as your dates firm up — observation stock moves first after festival weekends. Reserved window seats in ordinary coaches are a workable Plan B.

Station counters and the official rail booking path both matter; do not wait until the morning of travel.

If observation is gone, grab any reserved seat on the scenic stretch and stand politely for photos at open doors when safe — never block the crew.
