Guesthouse a few streets off the lake. Kids are half asleep but we can still hear drums clearly. How late does the last Kumbal usually roll through, and is it worth dragging them out now for the tail end.

Last Kumbal nights often run well past two hours from the table start. Stream still live long after 6:28 means the street is not done.

If drums are clear from the guesthouse you still have a window. Short walk to a quieter side street can catch elephants without fighting the densest pack.

Keep expectations: tail end is beautiful but slower. Bring water and a light layer - evening is dry/cloudy but breeze cools off.
