I want to direct my spending toward women-owned guesthouses, shops, or initiatives. Any recommendations or ways to find them?

Many guesthouses and small businesses in tourist areas are run by women. Asking directly 'is this women-owned?' or looking for places that mention women’s empowerment or community projects helps. Some organizations and social enterprises specifically support women entrepreneurs and can provide lists or connections. Buying handicrafts, spices, or tea directly from women producers or cooperatives (when possible) has more impact than buying from middlemen. Some tours and experiences are specifically designed to support women’s livelihoods — ask about the impact of your booking.

Many family-run guesthouses are effectively women-led even if not marketed that way. A direct question often reveals this.
