Visiting the Vedda village in Dambana is generally ethical if you go with respect. It is a structured cultural center where the indigenous people share their heritage and traditions with visitors.

You do not need to book a massive tour in advance. You can simply hire a tuk tuk from Mahiyanganaya, and there are local guides at the village entrance who will translate and show you around for a small fee.

Remember to ask permission before taking close up photographs of the elders, and consider buying their handmade crafts directly to support the community rather than just giving cash donations.
