We want to see the north south east and west. Is this possible in ten days.

Ten days is absolutely unequivocally totally not enough time to see the entire country. The highly winding mountain roads and heavily congested coastal highways make actual transit times incredibly incredibly slow.

If you rigidly only have ten days you absolutely must be ruthlessly selective. Entirely completely skip the deep north and the far east coast. Focus exclusively on the classic heavily traveled central loop to maximize your highly precious vacation time.
