I am based in Bundala. Dawn jeep from here sounds long. Honest take: do it, move closer, or skip?

A jeep at Bundala is a dusty morning, not a zoo. Dawn is cooler. No leopard is promised. Book a park-side desk, not a hotel poster that adds a loop of shops.

We did one dawn run and were glad we did not stack an afternoon. Water, hat, and zero drone. Skip if you only have a half day and a train to catch.

If you are tired, stay near the bus stand or town centre in Bundala and skip the extra viewpoint. Pull cash in Colombo, Kandy, or Galle first. Cards are a maybe, not a plan.
