You must strictly limit your exploring to the early morning before 10 AM, and late afternoon after 4 PM to avoid heat exhaustion.

Remember to bring thick socks. You have to walk barefoot around the sacred stupas, and the stone paths literally bake in the afternoon sun and will burn your feet.
