Yes, right near the Kadugannawa viewpoint and the Dawson Tower, there is a fantastic local spot called the Kadugannawa Rest House. They serve an incredibly authentic, highly flavorful rice and curry buffet for lunch at very reasonable local prices.

It offers incredibly clean facilities and a spectacular dining terrace looking straight down the winding mountain pass. It is the perfect, safe place to break up the long drive from Colombo to Kandy.
