I am traveling alone and want to walk around Kandy lake after dinner. Is the city completely safe for a solo female tourist.

Kandy is generally incredibly safe regarding violent crime but the completely unlit forested sections of the lake path get very dark and completely lonely after 9 PM. It is highly discouraged to walk there entirely alone.
